  Most information comes from 1900 census, which shows 5 children, 3 living. I have no names for the dead children. Certificate of Baptism is dated 01/12/1879. Suffolk County News Obit says Ada and Nelson had 6 children. I found the names of the dead children at the Riverhead Historical Society under the Howell genealogy. Ada had twins who died in infancy, and another child who died at birth. The twins names where Arthur and Linnel. There seems to be confusion on the spelling of this name. I initially assumed that Linnel and Lionel (Ada's brother) where corruptions of the name Leland. But I have seen the spelling Leolin a number of times on documents, so maybe Linnel is a corruption of Leolin. I have never seen the names Leolin or Linnel anywheres except with this family. I found this entry in an Oregon Newspaper. I believe it pertains to Ada, but it could also pertain to her mother-in-law Anna Arthur, who is also called Mrs. Nelson Sweezey. 15 Sept 1909 New York World ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Religious Chickens Answer Hymn Call. Sayville, N.Y. Dispatch to New York World. Mrs. Nelson Sweezey, of this place, has a flock of what are known as "religious fowls," which answer to but one call or sound. When Mrs. Sweezey wants to feed her fowls she gathers them together by whistling a familiar hymn - "Come, Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy" - when the fowls will will hasten to her side, knowing that temporal food awaits them.
